LUNAR ECLIPSE

A lunar eclipse occurs when part or all of a moon's cross section is covered by the shadow of the earth. That happens when the earth is between the sun and the moon in the same straight line, so the sun's rays cannot reach the moon because it is blocked by the earth.
It turns out that the lunar eclipse has several types, namely as follows:
1.Total or total lunar eclipses. This type of lunar eclipse occurs if the moon is positioned right in the middle of the umbra. Umbra is the core shadow precisely in the middle of the dark shadow when the lunar eclipse is happening. There are two types of total eclipses, namely negative total lunar eclipses that occur if the position of the moon is above so that the color turns red but uneven and a positive total lunar eclipse that occurs if through the umbra point so that the red color is evenly distributed.
2. A partial or partial lunar eclipse. This type of lunar eclipse can occur if only a part of the lunar region enters the umbra region while the other part is in the shadow of the penumbra when it reaches its maximum phase. This phenomenon causes sunlight to reach the surface of the moon only partially so that we can only see a partial shape of the moon.Penumbra Month.
3.Penumbra lunar eclipse occurs when the lunar position is in the penumbra area. This causes not visible but has a bleak color. This eclipse is divided into two types namely a partial penumbra eclipse and a total penumbra eclipse.

How to understand the process of a lunar eclipse is very easy. You can see the point of intersection between the lunar orbital plane and the ecliptic plane. The intersection will produce two points known as ‘node’. The occurrence of a lunar eclipse is when the moon opposes the sun to the node precisely in the position of 16.5 degrees from the node (in the east or west). Not all lunar eclipses will make the moon temporarily invisible. Some lunar eclipse phenomena actually show the moon with light such as red, copper, or orange. This is because there is still sunlight that is deflected by the Earth's atmosphere. Light that can be deflected by the earth's atmosphere often has a spectrum of red light.
